The great name change.

So it's official.  After three months of putting it off, I went to the Social Security office to officially change my name.

I'm not dissing my new name.  But it's hard to make that transition after having my maiden name for almost 30 years.  My husband didn't buy my argument that the great name change is an antiquated tradition which modern woman should have a choice in.  And I couldn't bring myself to "hyphenate" or "go with both", so I made the change.  And now the federal government is going to hold me to it....
